The Spurned Forge
The city of Sharn has a population of well over 400,000 citizens consisting of all sorts of races and social classes. Representatives of every culture find themselves amongst the towers of Sharn, eclipsed by the shear immensity of the cities’ skyscrapers. The towering minarets serve to stand very high against the landscape appearing as both a beacon of hope to those traveling to the city, while also casting an all encompassing shadow of the lower tiers of Sharn.
Sharn received many of the refugees of the Day of Mourning who were displaced due to the destruction of their homes. Similarly, many veterans and merchants who occupied the Cyre area now call Sharn their new homes, swallowed up the shadow of the towers. While many of these veterans serve in the guard of Sharn there are still seedy elements to be found just as in any other city. The more dangerous and impoverished areas of Sharn are towards the bottom of the towers in areas steeped in darkness. Magical lamps illuminate the streets of the lower districts.
